Royal Hill

What we're thinking about building on this site

We have been given approval to build a residential facility for adults with learning difficulties on this site, comprised of a four bedroom shared home and 5 one bedroom homes, two of which would be wheelchair accessible. One of these would be used for training and would contain a staff bedroom above. In total this would provide six units and a total of 10 bed spaces.

Each ground floor home has access to a shared garden space which includes a sensory garden, vegetable planters, an external dining area and edge planting. A roof terrace will be integrated into the roof line providing screening to address any issues with overlooking.

Our design has been developed with great consideration for the neighbouring properties, planning and heritage context and with the view to making a positive addition to the area.

How can residents have their say on our plans?

We conducted extensive consultations with neighbouring residents prior to submitting our designs for planning approval, amending our plans based on the feedback we received. All documents relating to the planning submission can be found on our Planning Portal.
