Join Royal Greenwich’s week-long celebration of local denominations
The borough's first-ever Multifaith Week runs from 23 to 28 September to celebrate our Multifaith Forum and local denominations.
The week will feature events where people can find out more about Greenwich-based faith leaders and groups.
The Multifaith Forum was formed in September 2023 for faith leaders to meet every three months. It is chaired by Angela Colman MBE and serves as a space for leaders to address local issues together alongside community leads from the Police, NHS, the Council and more.
A council spokesperson said, “Multifaith Week is a wonderful opportunity for us to honour the different faith denominations in Greenwich. Faith groups provide such a strong sense of community for residents with over 176,000 residents practicing over 40 faiths.
“Since it began last September, the Multifaith Forum has worked with partners in the Council to help make sure our communities are heard so we can address key challenges together. We are excited for even more residents to learn more about the community and Multifaith Forum”
As part of the Multifaith Week celebrations, we will host a series of discussions, children’s activities and more at The Woolwich Centre Library. All morning sessions will be in Room 3 while the afternoon sessions will be held in Room 2. See our full schedule below of which denominations you can learn more about:
