Christmas and New Year holiday collection dates
Following the Christmas holiday on Wednesday 25 December, your bins may be collected later than usual.
Here are the revised collection dates for this period. Please put your bins out ready to be emptied by 6am on your collection day.

Bin collections over Christmas and New Year can be delayed because of staff availability during this time. We have fewer crews collecting your bins during bank holidays, so it may take us a little while to catch up.
If we do not empty some or all of your bins on the revised collection date, we will catch up as soon as we can.

Clinical collections will run over the holiday period but are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Reuse and Recycling Centre
You can use the Reuse and Recycling Centre in Nathan Way to dispose extra waste and recycling.
Things to remember
- The site is free to use for Royal Greenwich residents, but you must bring an ID with you
- Vans and trade or commercial waste are not permitted
- Separate your recycling before arriving to help reduce queues

The Reuse and Recycling Centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Bulky waste
You can also use our bulky waste collection service for larger items such as furniture. This service is free to council tenants.
Bulky collections and deliveries will be closed from 20 December and reopen on 6 January 2025.
