Overview

Becoming a foster carer is exciting but challenging, so we have a good support system in place.

You'll receive training and you we'll allocate you a supervising social worker who will support you in your fostering role.

Our support system includes:

  • financial support
  • continuous back-up from a supervising social worker
  • an ongoing training programme
  • a handbook for foster carers
  • support groups
  • training support and development standards (TSDS) accreditation
  • membership to Greenwich Foster Carers Association
