What we're thinking about building on this site

At Chalcombe Road we are building a four-bedroom, two-storey council house, with a rear side garden.

To the front of the house there would be a forecourt with maintenance access to the electricity substation.

A grass strip of landscaping would soften the area and provide separation between the new house and the substation, which would be clad with powder coated grey metal cladding panels.

The house would meet zero carbon standards, and be of a modern design.

It would face east to west to minimise overheating and maximise privacy. 

Current status

The designs below have been approved by the Planning team. We are preparing the site for development

How can residents have their say on our plans?

Neighbouring residents were invited to view and comment on our plans in February 2023 via our online consultation.

Our proposals have now been approved, details of the application can be viewed on our Planning Portal.
