Bostall Heath and Woods
- Title
- Bostall Heath and Woods
- Summary
-
Bostall Heath and Woods is a large open expanse of grass, with areas of woodland, like Shooters Hill, which was once the haunt of highwaymen. Although now bricked up, there's a cave in the woods named after the most famous highwayman of all, Dick Turpin.
The Green Chain Walk runs through the site. The open grass areas are ideal for informal ball games.
A bowling green is available for hire. This can be found in Longleigh Lane, off Bostall Hill. Opposite the bowling green is an outdoor gym, installed as part of the Royal Borough's Olympic legacy and all-weather cricket practice nets. There is also an orienteering route on site. - Address
