This ornamental garden features a lion monument commemorating bare-knuckle prize fighter Tom Cribb.
Due to its past importance as a navigation point for river traffic, the church is entitled to fly the Red Ensign flag on ceremonial occasions.
Inside the church is a stained glass window created as a memorial to those who died in the Princess Alice riverboat disaster of September 1878.
