What we're thinking about building on this site

At Heavitree Close we would like to build:

  • Six net zero carbon, three-bedroom council houses for local families, with rear gardens and cycle storage.

The development is designed to let light into neighbouring properties.

Each home would have its own front door on Heavitree Close and access from its rear garden to a communal bin store, with bin collection from Heavitree Close.

The development would be set back from the neighbouring buildings to ensure privacy and reduce overlooking.

Our plans would mean the existing sheds would be demolished.

The homes would be built to zero carbon standards, with a contemporary design that contributes to biodiversity and greening in the area, whilst respecting the character of the conservation area.

How can residents have their say on our plans?

Residents were able to view and comment our first proposals for this site in February 2025 via our online consultation. A link to the full planning submission will be added once the scheme is live on the planning portal.
