- What we're thinking about building on this site
-
At Wricklemarsh Road we would like to build 12 net zero carbon council homes, made up of:
- Five one-bedroom wheelchair accessible apartments with a rear gardens and cycle storage
- One one-bedroom apartment with a rear garden and cycle storage
- Six two-bedroom apartments with roof terraces
The development would vary from one to three storeys in height to let light into the street.
Each home would have its own front door and access to a bin store from the street, with bin collection from Wricklemarsh Road.
The development would be set back from the neighbouring buildings to ensure privacy and reduce overlooking.
Wricklemarsh Road would be improved with a widened road, a new footpath and planting on the street.
A western forecourt would provide access to communal bin and bike stores for upper floor homes.
Our plans would mean the existing garages would be demolished.
The homes would be built to zero carbon standards, with a contemporary design that contributes to biodiversity and greening in the area.
Below you can see an initial street view showing how the proposed development would look from Wricklemarsh road, facing west.
- How can residents have their say on our plans?
-
Residents were able to view and comment our first proposals for this site in February 2025 via our online consultation. A link to the full planning submission will be added once the scheme is live on the planning portal.
