SEND provision

Yes, we do offer provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our programme. We are fully committed to inclusivity and strive to provide support to children with a moderate level of SEND.

Our approach involves offering various activities that cater to different abilities, ensuring that all Holiday Activity Fund (HAF) participants can actively participate and feel included. To support young people with moderate SEND needs, we offer inclusive games such as ball games and board games.

Our staff members are qualified and experienced in supporting individuals with SEND, and some of them hold qualifications as Teaching Assistants (TAs), teachers, or Youth Workers. This expertise enables us to provide tailored support and guidance to children with diverse needs.

We gather relevant information about each individual during the registration process, including details about their SEND, dietary needs, medical conditions, and any other requirements. Prior to the start of the camp, we conduct a briefing session with our staff to ensure that they are aware of this information and are equipped to provide appropriate support to HAF members.

Parents of children with SEND can contact us to discuss their child's needs by reaching out to our dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator. They can do so by contacting our main office or sending an email to holidays@protouchsa.co.uk

Our team is committed to working closely with parents to understand their child's unique requirements and to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for their participation in our programme. It's important for parents to know that we are fully inclusive and strive to accommodate the needs of all children, including those with SEND.

Our staff are trained and experienced in supporting individuals with diverse needs,
and we ensure that every child feels valued, included, and supported throughout their time at our programme.
