FreeJoin us on our free commuter-focused ride from Greenwich Park to Spitalfields Market in the City of London and back!
This ride is suitable for adults who can ride with control who wish to discover and practise commuting routes between Greenwich and central London. The ride is also suitable for riders wishing to explore the sights of central London by cycle! The route will take in some of London's newest cycling infrastructure including the new C4 cycle route. The ride will include some roads with traffic. Our ride leaders will be there to offer support on all sections of the journey.
The route will take us from Greenwich Park down to the Thames before joining the C4 cycle route, which will lead us to the London Bridge area. From there, we'll head North over the river using Southwark Bridge and then Northeast via Bank to reach the City of London and our final destination of Spitalfields Market. After a break, we'll head Southward, crossing the river over London Bridge and re-joining the C4 cycle route back to Greenwich.
The ride will depart at 09.45am sharp on Sunday 30th June from St Mary's Gate - the main lower entrance to Greenwich Park (near to the Greenwich Tavern on the corner of King William Walk and Nevada Street).
Please arrive at 9.30am so we can start the ride on time!
You’ll need to bring your own cycle, which should be in good working order. Remember to wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for the weather. We recommend you bring a snack and something to drink for the ride. This ride is for adults living, working, or studying in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
