Tramshed Fundraiser

We are hosting a variety night of music, comedy, drag and more to raise vital funds for Tramshed and our community work in south-east London.  

We run weekly performing arts programmes for young people and for adults with learning disabilities. We are a funded organisation, working with amazing partners who support our work. Between April 2023-March 2024 we have: 

• Worked with 741 unique participants
• Partnered with and hosted 22 community organisations 
• Worked with and paid 130 artists and creatives
• Had 8,238 people see our shows 
• Produced a brand new production and planned 3 more that took place in Summer 2024
• Offered work experience to 8 local school students and 7 HE Placements

Our dedicated and passionate team work hard to make sure that Tramshed is safe and welcoming space for anyone to express their creativity. However, the hard truth is that it is growing more expensive to deliver the work we do in the way we want to do it.  

Since the pandemic years, several of our costs have increased. At the same time, inflation has meant the funding that we do receive does not stretch as far. In real terms, we receive around 25% less in core funding now compared to 2019. This is while costs such as energy have gone up 114% since 2019 while other costs like business services and staffing have also significantly increased. Despite these steep financial challenges, we have remained committed to running a community creative hub.
