You can only become a Housing Champion if you're a Royal Greenwich council tenant or leaseholder.
What a Housing Champion does
Housing Champions help and support residents on their estate. They take a lead role in engagement and shaping services for their estate and community.
This role can make a big difference to your community and is crucial for us to understand the gaps in our services and how we can improve them.
Champions will be a point of contact for neighbours to raise issues, represent the resident voice and signpost people to important information. We provide training and support.
Types of positions
We have three positions which residents can choose from:
Level 1 - The Broadcaster
You'll share information about what's going on in your estate with residents via in-person meetings or social media, like WhatsApp or Facebook.
Level 2 - The Active Engager
You'll take the lead in your area of interest such as estate walkabouts, digital inclusion and equality and inclusion matters.
Level 3 - The Ultimo
You'll share information, take a lead in new projects on your estate. You'll develop a professional understanding in housing with career opportunities through accredited training and an apprenticeship linked scheme.

There's lots of training and support available to help you become a Housing Champion, including:
