You can ask us to refund credit on your rent account.
If you have council debts, for example, if you owe rent or service charges, we may use the credit to pay those debts first.
Ask for a refund
You'll need to:
- Call your Income Officer or email rent-account-enquiries@royalgreenwich.gov.uk to ask for a refund.
- Fill in the credit refund request form that we send you.
- Send the form back to us.
Make sure that:
- you fill in the whole form
- you explain in the comments section if and why your request is urgent
- you sign the form
- if you have a joint tenancy, all tenants sign the form

What happens next
If we agree to refund your credit, you'll usually get the money back in about 4 weeks. This can sometimes take longer.
If you do not give us your bank details, we'll send you a cheque. This could take up to a week longer.
