We will not tolerate our properties being occupied by anyone other than the rightful tenant.

We'll investigate and take action where there is reason to believe someone is fraudulently occupying a council property or subletting it.

What to report

Tell us if you:

  • suspect a council property has been sub-let
  • have information that suggests someone has got a tenancy that they're not entitled to
  • feel that your neighbours change more frequently than would be considered reasonable
  • know of anyone that has moved in with a partner and let their home to someone else
  • know someone's relocated for work and started letting out their home
  • know that someone gained a tenancy by giving false information

How to report

You can report your concerns by:

  • using our online form
  • telephone
  • email

You do not have to give us your name. We keep all information confidential.
