Work opportunities in the Capital Repairs Programme
We’re working with contractors to deliver employment, training, work experience and volunteering opportunities to residents.
Delivery targets
During the programme, contractors will deliver:

115 apprenticeships

489 weeks of work experience

261 FTE jobs

546 weeks of work training

1206 hours of employment support

1681 hours of school engagement

989 hours of free advice for the local community
Progress so far
Our partnership with Wates Property Services has resulted in:
-
2 apprenticeships, and 1 paid internship
-
11 residents being enrolled in Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor and Level 4 Retrofit Assessor course
-
17 candidates taking part in a 6-week pre-apprenticeship construction
-
6 residents being offered work experience
In addition, 6 residents have started apprenticeships and on-site work with Mulalley in roles ranging from resident liaison officers to site managers.
