Work opportunities in the Capital Repairs Programme 

We’re working with contractors to deliver employment, training, work experience and volunteering opportunities to residents.  

Delivery targets 

During the programme, contractors will deliver: 

  • 115 apprenticeships 

  • 489 weeks of work experience 

  • 261 FTE jobs 

  • 546 weeks of work training 

  • 1206 hours of employment support 

  • 1681 hours of school engagement 

  • 989 hours of free advice for the local community 

Progress so far 

Our partnership with Wates Property Services has resulted in: 

  • 2 apprenticeships, and 1 paid internship 

  • 11 residents being enrolled in Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor and Level 4 Retrofit Assessor course  

  • 17 candidates taking part in a 6-week pre-apprenticeship construction 

  • 6 residents being offered work experience 

In addition, 6 residents have started apprenticeships and on-site work with Mulalley in roles ranging from resident liaison officers to site managers.
