What sexual harassment is

Sexual harassment is any unwanted sexual behaviour that makes you feel intimidated, degraded, humiliated or offended.

Some examples of sexual harassment include:

  • a person exposing themselves in a public space
  • making sexual comments or gestures
  • stalking
  • touching or rubbing against someone in a crowd or closed space for example, on a busy train or bus
  • watching explicit sexual content in public areas

If you’re in danger, feel threatened, harassed on the street, or in need of help, go to a Safehaven Superhub.

These are Safe Spaces in the borough where people experiencing sexual harassment or domestic abuse can find support. They provide a safe and discreet way to reach out to friends and family or contact specialist support services.
