How to book a training course

You must book a course on the Learning Hub.

If you are employed by Royal Borough of Greenwich, your Learning Hub account will already be set up for you.

If you are from an external organisation, you may need to create an account for yourself. Your manager will also need a Learning Hub account to approve your bookings.

Setting up a Learning Hub account

  1. On the Learning Hub login page, select ‘Create new account’.
  2. Complete the registration form including the external users section. Using your organisation's email and filling all the mandatory fields will help us to approve your account faster.
  3. Click on the arrow to expand the external users section and select 'Welfare Rights Training Customer' as the sector.
  4. Choose what type of training you want to do and select 'Request account'.

Managers do not need to provide a manager's email address unless booking a training session.

We will email you to verify your email address and aim to approve your account within 48 hours.

Logging in to your Learning Hub account

If you are Royal Borough of Greenwich staff, use the 'Automatic sign on' button to log in. You can use 'Manual sign on' if that does not work.

If you are from an external organisation, log in using the 'Manual sign on' option. You'll only be able to book courses offered by the Welfare Rights Service.

Find a course

You can find courses by:

  • clicking 'Job Specific Courses' option and then 'Welfare Rights Training'
  • using the keyword search if you know the course name

Once you find a course of interest, click 'Go to course' for more details.

To book the course or save it for later, select 'Unlock'.

Next, select 'View all events', choose a date with available spaces and click 'Request to book on'.

Your manager will now get an email to approve your training request.

After you book

Once your booking has been approved by your manager, you'll receive:

  • an email confirmation and joining instructions
  • an invoice (if applicable)
  • a reminder (14 days and 48 hours before the course)

If you have not received a confirmation email, contact the Welfare Rights Training team. Do not attend a course unless you have received confirmation of your place.

Cancelling a course

You must cancel a course you have booked on Learning Hub at least one week before the course.

We charge a £75 administration fee for cancellations made with less than 1 week's notice.

If you have paid for a booking, we can only refund the booking fee for cancellations made in writing, at least 5 weeks before the date of the course.

To cancel a course, log in to the Learning Hub and select 'My Learning' at the top. Find the course you want to cancel under 'Booked Learning'.

Select 'Cancel booking'.
