Overview 

If you need to park on a yellow line, for example to carry out work on a property, you will need to apply for a virtual parking dispensation.  

Who can apply 

Anyone can apply for a parking dispensation if they need to park a vehicle on a yellow line in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.  

What it costs 

It costs £32 per day.

There is no charge for some businesses like glazing and scaffolding companies, but they must still apply for a dispensation.

You must apply for a dispensation online at least 7 working days before you need it. 

You'll need to create an online account if you do not already have one.

What you need to apply 

You'll need to tell us: 

• the vehicle registration number 
• when you need to park 
• where you need to park 
• how long you need to park for 
• why you need to park on a yellow line 

If you do not know the vehicle registration number when you apply, you can add it later before you need to park.

What happens next 

After you apply, your application will be checked by Parking Services and the Highways team. 

If we approve the dispensation, you'll get an email to confirm. If there is a fee to pay, you will need to login to your online account and pay by credit or debit card.
