We own around 14,500 street trees. 

Residents and businesses can sponsor the planting of new trees each year, within a limited quota.

If you'd like to sponsor the planting of a street tree, email maintenance-team@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.

We would choose the tree and we would continue to own that tree and be responsible for it.

Cost of sponsoring

It costs £450 per tree.

This covers the council’s expenses of:

• providing the tree
• its planting
• preliminary surveys to determine the best practical locations for its survival

The tree planting programme will take place from November to March. You would need to pay by October.
