Tell us about a damaged or fallen tree. If it's our tree, we'll investigate the problem.
We look after trees:
- along streets
- on council housing estates
- in parks and cemeteries that we manage
We can help if it's:
- damaged
- causing a public safety hazard, for example, because it's fallen
If we cannot save a tree, we'll try to replace it.
What we cannot help with
We cannot help with trees on private land.
We cannot cut trees because they're:
- overhanging from a neighbour's garden
- blocking light or causing shade
- blocking satellite signal
- dropping leaves, bark or twigs onto a gutter or roof
You can cut back a tree that overhangs from your neighbour's garden onto your side of the boundary.
If you're concerned about an overgrown garden, or the problem is attracting rats or mice, you can report an overgrown garden or yard.
Tell us about a tree problem
Use the tree portal to find and tell us about a tree. You can include up to 3 photos of the tree.
