The marital and civil partnership status of Greewich residents aged 16 years and over, as at the time of the 2011 Census, is outlined in the table below. This classification takes account of the Civil Partnership Act which came into force on 5 December 2005, providing information about civil partnership status for the first time in census results.

Two in five adult residents in Greenwich had never been married or registered in a civil partnership at time of the 2011 census.

The next Census is due in 2021 with findings available from 2022.
