Calling arts and culture organisations: Apply now for Royal Greenwich Festivals funding for 2025
Is your organisation interested in producing a cultural festival that provides free, fun live events, performances and workshops across the borough?
Royal Greenwich Festivals returns in 2025 for another exciting summer, and applications for funding are now open. Organisations can apply for up to £15,000, £30,000 or £60,000 to deliver free, community events and activities next summer.
Councillor Anthony Okereke, Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich said: “Our flagship Royal Greenwich Festivals programme showcases the diverse range of arts and culture our borough has to offer and cements our status as a cultural hub.
“The funding empowers local arts organisations to deliver free, accessible and inclusive cultural opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy and supports our Culture Strategy ambition to make Royal Greenwich a place where creative people, innovation and cultural connections inspire, encourage and flourish.
“If you have a spectacular idea for a creative festival, that includes any art form, we want to hear from you.”
We are looking to programme lively, accessible, and eye-catching events that are free for residents and visitors to the borough. Funding is available to community, cultural or festival organisations that understand the diverse communities of Royal Greenwich and are able showcase the borough’s unique culture through creative events.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Sunday 19 January. If you have any access needs or need further support, please contact us at artsgreenwich@royalgreenwich.gov.uk and we will do our best to help you with your application.
Please note we have made changes to the criteria and scoring to reflect our Culture Strategy. If you are thinking of applying, please read the guidance notes carefully.
In 2024, the Royal Greenwich Festival programme provided £144,000 in funding for over 80 free events and 250 free workshops, from the award-winning Greenwich+Docklands International Festival by Festival.org, Our Heritage UK’s Ise Agbe, Royal Museums Greenwich Great Windrush Trail, It’s Carnival with TARU Arts, Tramshed’s Union Festival and Beanfeast and BrassWorks at Woolwich Works.
