Calling Royal Greenwich residents: Apply now for the new Community Arts Fund Advisory Panel
The search for the first ever Community Arts Fund Advisory Panel is on!
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking for five people who live, work or study in the borough to be part of a new panel that will help commission the council’s Community Arts funding programme for 2024 to 2025.
The Community Arts Fund supports arts and cultural initiatives across the borough that celebrate the diversity of our communities, encourage participation, build partnerships and put a spotlight on local creative talent.
Councillor Adel Khaireh, Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture, and Communities, said: “We're committed to listening to our communities, to ensure that our residents feel heard. Last year we simplified the Community Arts Fund application process following feedback from previous applicants.
“Now, after the success of our first ever Black History 365 Community Advisory Panel, we’re recruiting five local people to help us co-commission the next Community Arts Fund programme in the same way.
“If you’re passionate about getting people within your community involved in arts and culture, we can’t wait to hear from you.”
To apply to be a Community Arts Fund Advisory Panel member, email a summary of your skills and experience and tell us why you would make a positive contribution as a panel member to artsgreenwich@royalgreenwich.gov.uk by 5pm on Friday 8 March.
Written summaries should be no more than 250 words and can be either in a word document or directly in an email. Alternatively, we will also accept short videos or voice notes of no longer than two minutes.
Successful applicants, who will be contacted shortly after the application closing date, will be paid the London Living Wage for their time and invited to attend a panel meeting at the Woolwich Centre to review applications against published criteria and propose recommendations for the 2024 programme.
