Have your say on our Local Council Tax Support Scheme

We are asking all residents to have their say on proposals to adjust the Council Tax Support Scheme. 

A consultation has been launched on proposed changes to simplify the scheme while making sure that our most vulnerable residents are still supported. 

A council spokesperson said: "This is an opportunity for you to shape the future of a programme that impacts thousands of households.  

“We understand that navigating the current system can be complicated and frustrating. That's why we're proposing changes to simplify the process, making it more transparent and fairer for everyone. 

“Your feedback will help ensure that this support reaches those who need it most, while also streamlining how it’s delivered.  

“I encourage all residents to take part in this consultation on our Local Council Tax Support scheme. Together, we can create a system that works better for our community."
