Overwhelming majority of children offered a preferred primary school for 2024
Thousands of local young people will be joining Greenwich primary schools in September as school offers are sent out to families ready for the new school year.
Nearly all – 99% of families with reception age children – have been offered a place at one of their preferred schools, with 90% being offered a place at their top preference.
A spokesperson for the Royal Borough of Greenwich said: “Our borough is filled with fantastic primary schools who all offer a varied, exciting curriculums, great facilities and caring teachers.
"The vast majority - 97% (61/63) - of primary schools in Royal Greenwich are rated Outstanding and Good by Ofsted.
"Wherever children are heading in September, we know that our schools give every child the chance to Be Great in Greenwich.”
A total of 2,834 Greenwich children will be heading to a local school this coming year, out of 3,038 applications.

If your child has been allocated a school not on your preference list, you need to let us know by April 30 if you wish to accept the offer.
