Share your love for the amazing markets in the Royal Borough of Greenwich
Markets across Greenwich are gearing up for Love Your Local Market fortnight. The global celebration of markets runs from this Friday, 17 May, to Saturday 1 June.
The Council is getting behind the campaign by showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of our local market scene, highlighting the vital role of markets within local communities and promoting training opportunities for aspiring traders. We will also be hosting a special event in Woolwich to kick off the celebrations on Friday.
From the world-famous Greenwich Market to the neighbourhood markets which spring up regularly enlivening our town centres, our markets are the heartbeat of the community. As well as offering spaces for people to shop, eat, drink, relax and meet with others, they provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to trial their business ideas or a new and exciting platform for existing businesses.
