You must return a Blue Badge if:

  • it has expired
  • your medical condition or mobility improves
  • you replaced your badge and then find the old one - return the old one
  • it's damaged, faded or illegible
  • you no longer need it, for example, you become confined to the house
  • the badge holder dies

You must return a Blue Badge issued to an organisation if that organisation:

  • is no longer eligible, for example, it stops transporting disabled people
  • goes out of business
