Claim your vehicle

Before you can claim your vehicle, we need to see proof that it's legally yours.  

Proof we need

You must send us copies of:

  • the vehicle log book (V5C) showing your name and current address
  • your current certificate of motor insurance showing your name and current address
  • your driving licence

Send these by email to: envirocrime@royalgreenwich.gov.uk  

What happens next

We'll check your documents within 5 working days. If we're satisfied that you're the legal owner, you'll have 15 days to collect your vehicle.

We'll tell you when and where to collect it. You must bring the original versions of the documents you emailed to us.

If you do not collect your vehicle, we'll send you a reminder. If you still do not collect it, we'll scrap it.
