If you find a dead animal, tell us and we'll remove it. If it's on private land, we cannot remove it.
Tell us about a dead animal
You can report it online or by telephone. You'll need to tell us:
- the type of animal
- the exact location
- when you saw it
- the type of place it is on, for example, a road, a pond or public land

What happens next
We try to remove dead animals within 24 hours of receiving your report.
If the animal is a pet, we'll scan for a microchip and contact the owner. We keep pets without a microchip for 5 working days in case the owner contacts us.
