Tell us about a street lighting problem

Use our online form if the problem is:

  • on a public street
  • in a public park

You'll need to tell us the:

  • street name and location, for example, the lamp post opposite 2 Glenesk Road
  • type of street light, for example, a lamp post or zebra crossing beacon
  • asset number, if there is one - this is usually a sticker, for example, on a lamp post
Report a street lighting problem

To report a dangerous street lighting problem out of office hours, call Customer Services on 020 8854 8888.

Lights on council estates

If the problem is on a council estate, call our Cleaning team on 020 8921 4661.

What happens next

We try to repair faulty street lights within 3 working days of receiving your report.

If the problem is related to an underground cable fault, repairs will take longer.

Street lights on red routes

If there's a problem with a street light on a red route, contact Transport for London (TfL).

A red route has double or single red lines on the road. For example:

  • John Wilson Street
  • Academy Road
  • Westhorne Avenue
