About the Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

It is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local armed forces community. It includes the moral obligation between the nation, the government and the armed forces, at local level.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich signed the Covenant on 8 February 2012 and renewed our commitment to it in 2022.
