Junior Environment Champions is our environmental education and engagement programme for children aged 5 to 11.
It's open to all primary schools in the borough and groups like after-school clubs, Cubs and Brownies.
The aim is to show children that their actions can make a big difference towards a more sustainable and cleaner environment.
With our support, they'll learn about some of the issues our environment is facing locally and globally. For example:
- plastic in the ocean
- reducing waste
- water usage
- recycling and litter
We support schools and groups with things like:
- assisting with fun classroom activities and projects
- loaning litter picking equipment
- giving advice on simple lifestyle changes
