Arrange a marriage or civil partnership ceremony

To arrange  a marriage or civil partnership ceremony, email us at registrar@royalgreenwich.gov.uk and tell us:

  • your full contact details, including email and telephone number
  • the date and time of your ceremony
  • the location of your ceremony
  • Whether you have confirmed your booking with the venue
  • if you have given notice or have an appointment to give notice, tell us the date and location

We'll send you:

  • a terms and conditions form
  • information about giving notice
  • a price list for ceremonies in the town hall rooms

If you decide you want to book a ceremony, sign the terms and conditions form and send it back to us. 

Confirmation of your ceremony

We'll try our best to give you the time, date and venue you've asked for. However, we cannot confirm your booking until you agree to the terms and conditions, and pay your ceremony fee.

If we cannot offer your requested ceremony date or time, we'll contact you to offer you an alternative. 

When you'll hear from us

We usually reply within 10 working days. 

If we have not replied to you after 10 working days, email or call us.
