Help paying for home adaptations if you’re disabled

After you’ve had an assessment, we will let you know if you need to pay for the adaptations. 

You can apply for a Disabled Facilities Grant to help pay for a range of adaptations. 

If you are a Royal Borough of Greenwich tenant, you do not need to apply for a grant. 

You can apply for a grant if you are a: 

  • tenant or own your own home  
  • landlord applying for a disabled tenant 

What happens after you apply 

After you apply, we will do a financial assessment to see if you can get the grant and how much you are eligible for.  

We can help with adaptations that cost up to £30,000. We may also offer top-up funding if the adaptations cost more than this based on your financial situation.  

You do not need a financial assessment if the adaptation is for a disabled child. We may also be able to offer additional funding.
