If you can no longer care for someone

There may be a time when you realise you can no longer look after the person you care for.

Caring for someone can affect your finances, health and relationships. It can also mean you’re not able to give someone the care they need.

It is not selfish if you’re no longer able to care for someone.

If you can no longer care for someone, you could consider:

  • paid home carers
  • supported living
  • residential care
