Trace a missing payment

You can ask us to trace a council housing charges payment if you think you've made a payment but it's not showing on your account.

Call your Income Officer first. Their contact details will be on your rent statement or a recent letter.

They'll ask you about the payment, including:

  • the date you paid
  • the amount you paid
  • how you paid

They'll ask you to send proof of payment. This could be a receipt if you paid in person, or copy of your bank statement, for example.  

We'll use the information you give us to try and find the payment.

We'll contact you to tell you if we've been able to find it or not.
